Argentine Wines.

With over 20 years experience working with Argentine wineries to develop their sales and brands in the UK, Sophie networks extensively with buyers, distributors, press and industry leaders to help position and promote her clients in the market. She has curated multiple tours of the Argentine winelands for international trade, wine writers and digital media communicators to help increase global recognition of what the Argentine wine scene is all about and has to offer.

No-one knows more than her about Argentine wine in the UK market’.

Specialised Translation

A graduate in French and Spanish, Sophie has worked for over 20 years as a wine professional in both French and Spanish speaking countries. Her translation experience ranges from labels, marketing material and websites, podcasts and U-Tube videos to the plaques for the Caveau du Château wine museum founded by the renowned Guigal family in 2020. Her prestigious list of clients include FICOFI, Maison Guigal and Château Cheval Blanc

‘We work with Sophie because she has a great deal of experience in the wine world. We are as demanding in the way we make our wine as we are in the way we communicate so her translations are in perfect tune. She is extremely reactive and enjoyable to work with’.

Consumer.Innovation.Technology

The One Step Beyond initiative was introduced in 2020 in a joint partnership between Sophie Jump and Richard Siddle, co-founder of The Buyer. One Step Beyond has a very clear mission: to keep the drinks, retail and hospitality industries working together to discuss and debate the key issues impacting on the sector. It aims to put the consumer at the centre of business strategy whilst shining a spotlight on essential technological advances and innovations.

‘Quite simply, Sophie makes things happen. She will help you get to the heart of what the problem is and not only give you the tools and help to  fix it, she'll go and sort it out herself’.

Richard Siddle, Editor in Chief, The Buyer

International Trips.

Sophie has worked extensively on most continents curating events including high level trade missions to Hong Kong and mainland China, programmes for top press and digital media communicators in Argentina and sommeliers’ tours of the Sonoma wine lands. In February 2020 Jancis Robinson, MW paid her first in-depth visit to Mendoza for over 15 years under her aegis.

‘Sophie is one of the cleverest and most organised people I have worked with. The wine industry is lucky to have her’. Robert Joseph, Wine Business Analyst
